Project unit:(Large-scale Artificial Cultivation and Product Development of Inonotus obliquus)

  • Project country:CHINA
  • Industry classification:Agriculture

Inonotus obliquus is a kind of medicinal fungus, which is rich in Bioactive substances of  polysaccharide, terpenoids, sterol, fuscoporine, etc. with the ability of anti-tumor, hypoglycemic, anti-aging, antiviral and boosting immunity. The application research of wild Inonotus obliquus has been developed in Russia, Japan, the United States, Korea, etc. but those countries have not yet mass production and cultivation.

After 10 years’ selection and optimizing cultivation of bacterial species, substrate materials and its formula, our Institute has completed artificial cultivation technology maturation, in which the yield of large-scale artificial cultivation Inonotus obliquus’ fruit body reached to 20-30 g/bag ( dry weight), the polysaccharide content of artificial cultivated fruit body is quite equal to that of wild fruit body, protein content of it is more than 3 times that of wild fruit body, ganodera acid content is increased by more than 10 % than that of wild fruit body. Its technological achievements have a leading position in China. At present, the technology of artificial cultivated Inonotus obliquus’ fruit body polysaccharide and extraction process of triterpeniod has been completed, by which product formula and process of functional drinks and tea bag were developed. It has made 3 S&T outcomes and 2 invention patents.

Wild Inonotus obliquus is hard to collect, with the characteristics of low-yield and high-sales price. So the project for large-scale artificial cultivation and product development is enforced that will have a high profit pursuit. We can transfer technology and make cooperative development.
