Since 2005, with the support of the National Health Commission,  China and Health Commission of Yunnan Province, Yunnan Institute of Parasitic Diseases (YIPD) has conducted the Joint Control of Malaria and Dengue in China-GMS and Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar Economic Corridor. Up to 2019, YIPD has established mechanism of joint control of malaria/dengue with Cambodia, Lao, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and Bangladesh. This project has the  important activities: hold 1-2 training course on malaria/dengue monitoring, epidemic foci disposal, investigation and research each year, send 3-4 expert team of malaria/dengue to provide technical support and exchange to these countries, etc. Through the project, YIPD has established 20 joint malaria/dengue work stations in the countries and 40 monitoring posts along border lines between Yunnan and neighbor countries, and enrolled 1-2 master degree students each year, and established 5 network laboratories to improve capability of malaria/dengue prevention, control and research for these countries.
