    1、 Construction background


    The Pacific region has become the largest economic region in the world and the most dynamic region in the world today. In addition to Australia and New Zealand, there are 27 countries and regions in the South Pacific region, including Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, etc. As a big developing country, China has been actively developing friendly and cooperative relations with island countries in the South Pacific for a long time. The South Pacific island countries are the important areas of the "21st century Maritime Silk Road". It is of great significance to build a cooperation community with the South Pacific island countries to promote the coordinated development of regional economy and society.


    Strengthening South South cooperation and actively promoting in-depth cooperation in the field of science and technology with South Pacific island countries is an important part of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Pacific island countries. It is also an effective measure to actively respond to the Paris Agreement, take practical actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance the ability to cope with climate change.

3.China South Pacific Islands New And Renewable Energy Inter

    Supported by the Ministry of science and technology, sponsored by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of science and technology, and hosted by Yunnan Academy of science and technology information and the University of Papua New Guinea, the "China South Pacific island countries international training course on new energy and renewable energy" was successfully held in Kunming from May 11 to 14, 2017.
